Suspect Being Held For Marshall High School Coach Shooting

Chicago's west side was shook last week when high school assistant basketball coach Shawn Harrington was shot in his car

The attack left Harrington paralyzed from the waist down. He was shot while trying to protect his 16-year-old daughter, who was also in the car, from being hit. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Harrington was driving his daughter to school.

The only good news to come from the incident is that police do have a suspect in custody. Twenty-one-year-old Deandre Thompson (pictured) faces charges that include two felony counts of attempted first-degree murder and one felony count of aggravated battery with a firearm.

Thompson was caught on a nearby store's security footage and later identified by police.
