Forty-three-year-old Paula Cooper was 16 when she was sentenced to death row for killing an elderly Bible school teacher.
This week, however, she walked free. The Supreme Court intervened with Cooper's case and deemed that her abusive upbringing and young age at the time the crime was committed were enough to warrant her with a second chance at life.
