Police were called on a Florida man this week when he attempted to trade a four-foot live alligator for a pack of beer at a local market.
NBC South Florida reports that the man in question, Fernando Caignet Aguilera, found the alligator at a nearby park, captured it and brought it to the market where he proposed a trade for a 12-pack. The clerk refused and called the police on Aguilera.
He now faces charges related to illegally capturing the animal which was eventually released back into the wild unharmed.
