The Sun-Times reports that a Chicago woman has been arrested 396 times since 1978. One of those arrests even involves an attack on an alderman.
51-year-old Shermain Miles charges include 92 counts of theft, 65 counts of disorderly conduct, 59 counts for prostitution-related crimes and five counts of robbery or attempted robbery.
Her last arrest, which came when she chased Alderman James Cappleman through the Uptown neighborhood, landed her in a Lincoln, Ill., correctional center.
The Sun-Times reports that during a hearing Tuesday before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board Miles claimed she's finally going to change her ways. The Board hinted at the possibility of release, but warned that there will be serious consequences if she ruins her last chance.
